Educational Excellence Information
The new DKG International Educational Excellence Committee no longer creates and distributes the EEC Umbrella bi-monthly newsletter. However, this EEC Information Sheet is a wonderful resource to keep track of the committee's focus during the 2024-2026 biennium, including:
Though not on this sheet, the creation of both personal and professional Visionary Networks and "Affinity Groups." At this time, the following have been announced at the International level, as listed on the DKG International website:
"The DKG Visionary Network was created based on a recommendation from the Avenue M Report. Virtual, interest-based groups within the network are available exclusively to DKG members.
"The DKG Visionary Network aims to establish a long-term, organized system for creating, implementing, and nurturing affinity groups throughout the entire Society. An affinity group consists of regular gatherings of individuals who focus on a specific professional or personal topic. These groups are designed to provide support, strengthen connections, and promote growth among their members.
"Examples of our previously submitted Virtual Groups include:
Some states have created their own affinity groups, with Illinois serving as an excellent example. Please let me know if you would like to host a virtual affinity group within Connecticut!
Thank you,
Linda
