Bylaws and Standing Rules

Communications
The Communications Committee is charged with expanding the role and increasing the amount of publicity about AKS at both the state and chapter levels. The committee aims to extend CT residents’ awareness of the work of DKG and AKS through an increased number of articles regarding AKS projects and programs in local and regional newspapers. The Keynote editor, the webmaster, and the AKS photographer complete the Communications Committee.
The Finance Committee shall be composed of two elected members of the three designated state regions. Each biennium one member from each region shall be elected for a term of four years. The President shall be a voting member and shall appoint one of the three continuing members as chairman for the biennium. The Finance Committee shall submit a proposed budget annually to the Executive Board.

Nominations
In odd-numbered years the Nominations Committee prepares the slate consisting of one nominee for each elective position, presents the names to the Executive Board for approval, and conducts the election at the AKS Spring Convention.
